La Crecida
“La Crecida” is a project by Dalmau Cudney looking to document and bring attention to the extreme weather changes occurring along the outskirts of Cofre de Perote, the main water source for the delicate cloud forest ecosystems in the region as well as the ever expanding urban sprawl. Every year this extinct volcano that has lost its snow cap is affected by longer periods of drought and wildfires, followed by heavy rainfall that is often diverted to neighboring cities, affecting all communities downstream. The once ubiquitous, dense fog that covered these woods year round is slowly disappearing.
