Aloïs Yang is a conceptual media artist, performer and experimental musician.

Yang’s work is influenced both by scientific reference and human imperfection of understanding the nature, that leads to the craft of experiments to investigate the perception of time and space on both “outer” physical world and “inner” metaphysical levels of awareness – as a manifestation of how we contextualize the overlapping realities in between body and mind, objective explanation and subjective projection, analogue and digital, certainty and unknown.

His interactive installations and performances treats sound as an emergent medium that has intrinsic experiential knowledge of present timespace. Through feedback systems compose of natural phenomena, biometric sensors, variety of microphones and speakers, generative computation, and movements of sound in space, he aim to reveal our inter-connection with the given contexts and properties – as an organic sonic environment of self-reflections that incorporate individual's consciousness as the piece itself.

Interaction in Yang’s work takes place not just in objective reality, but also inside of intimate experience and imaginative projection. These include traveling among such varied subjects as brain function, micro/macro & inward/outward listening perspectives, environmental cycle system, the element of water, sonic animism, Yin Yang circulation, starlight, apocalypse, and the beginning of the Universe.
